After losing approximately 90% of the field of vision in my right eye in late 2015, I had retina surgery to remove a wrinkle which had formed on my retina. After recovering for 6 months after the retina surgery, my vision issues were not corrected! Upon conducting further detailed testing, it was determined that my vision issues were directly related to reduced blood flow to my right eye. The reduced blood flow was significant enough to cause multiple blood vessels to die from the lack of blood, causing reduced depth perception and blind spots in my right eye. Because of my vision issues, I stopped driving, bass fishing tournaments, and playing golf! This was very depressing for me because of my very active lifestyle.Dr. Ho was recommended to my daughter by a fellow Speech Language Pathologist whom had worked with Dr. Ho on other patients with stroke related or vision issues. I met Dr. Ho in early January 2017 for my initial evaluation. During that visit, Dr. Ho spent over 2.5 hrs interviewing and testing me. The results of the testing revealed that approximately 90-95% of my vision was from my left eye and my right eye was also sending mixed vision signals to my brain causing confusion and depth perception problems. Prior to going to Dr. Ho, I had fallen going down steps at least 6x in a 4 month period.Dr. Ho assured me that implementing of a regiment of various eye and brain retraining exercises would greatly improve my hand eye coordination, dept perception, and field of vision issues. After only approximately 6 months of utilizing several types of training aids in conjunction with various eye exercises, my overall vision is greatly improved. I am now driving, fishing, and playing golf again! I still have minor areas of vision loss in my right eye, but due to Dr. Ho’s guidance and retraining methods, I can now lead a normal life by learning to compensate for my vision issues.
