At Ho Vision Group, we have been limiting patient care for a few weeks to minimize the risk of coronavirus transmission through our community. We recommend our patients practice social distancing and wear masks in places where they may be at risk for exposure.
Pre-Screen Phone Calls
The week prior to your exam, you will be called to assess whether you would like to maintain your appointment. If you would like to proceed, we recommend all patients to take their temperature at home the day prior to their appointment date. If temperature exceeds 99.0, we kindly ask for you to reschedule. A brief overview of check-in procedures will be reviewed.
For New Patients, we advise all the paperwork to be completed for our online portal or submitted PRIOR to your exam. This will help us speed up our process. We will have a staff member call prior to the exam to take case history to reduce your time in office.
Scheduling
Please be patient with us as your appointment time will likely not be fully confirmed until the day prior to your visit. Our practice is trying to ensure we have enough time to properly sanitize and maintain social distancing between our patients.Check-In
We recommend all our patients arrive with a mask, but a mask will be provided to our patients and any accompanying visitors if our patients arrive without them. You will be educated on how to properly wear and remove the mask. We recommend patients come alone if possible, or a limit of one accompanying visitor to the exam. Temperature will be taken, then we will bring patients to the exam room.Personal Protective Gear for Staff
Do not be alarmed. Our staff are wearing masks, scrubs, and face shields. For our pediatric patients, it might be more scary for them, so parents please let them know ahead of time. We service a high number of high-risk patients in this office so please respect that we are wearing our masks to protect our patients.Office Cleaning
We clean our office regularly. High touch surfaces are cleaned promptly after patient contact. We use hypochlorous acid (freshly made in-office every morning), alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, hand sanitizer, Lysol wipes, and UV wand cleaning.
We prioritize our patient safety. All patients need to assess their own risk tolerance. However, we respect our patient’s comfort so if they choose not to come in this time, we will gladly put them on the waitlist until the risk of coronavirus is greatly reduced or eliminated. Please be patient as we continue to monitor the situation and make adjustments in our schedule accordingly.
Thank you for your understanding!
